 Red Rubber Showdown #3Summer's kick-ass kickball tournament. On August 14th, 2010 - up to 30 kickball teams will compete for the title of best in town. This one day tournament features several field locations in NE Portland, 2 skill divisions, a minimum of 3 games guaranteed and ohhh don't forget about the party bus!
Bring your league team, a combo of teams, or signup individually to participate in this day we fondly refer to as Kickball Christmas.
The party bus will be running all day to shuttle teams from the field to the bar and back in time for your next game. Or shuttle field to field to watch other games and follow the tournament.

Multiple Scoregasms Do Just That!Knock off previously undefeated Shaggin BallsMultiple Scoregasms were a juggernaut in the playoffs, dominating their opponents through a combination of clutch kicking and heady fielding. Led by their captain, Molly Matson, whose sure-handed fielding at third base set the tone, they were also helped by Adam Staton-Smith, a pitcher who wouldn't have looked out of place at a bowling alley, and the always hustling Laura Sanderman. All that said, credit is due to Shaggin Balls for pulling off the unbeaten regular season (a la the New England Patriots in 2007). A rivalry could be brewing ...  The Secret Finally Revealed!Victorious Secret score more runs than Leg Up, take home the titleIn a low-scoring game befitting championship kickball, Victorious Secret prevailed 2-1 over their worthy rivals, Leg Up. Shannon Whitaker inspired her team all season long and was voted MVP by her teammates. Greg (RBI double) and Brad (scoreless relief pitching) provided the on-field heroics. A shout-out must be given to Leg Up for making V.S. sweat in that seventh inning! |
