Late Fall Co-ed Volleyball at Blazers Boys & Girls Club Mondays

Sometimes it isn't a great volleyball play that gets you player of the game, sometimes it is a little bit of luck too. Thats just what Phil had this week, a little luck got him a basket! The whole court erupted in cheers for the play. Phil had a great game this week, he was hustling all over and was ready to make a play when necessary. Great work Phil!

Bjorn, or better known as "Air Jordan"! It became a running joke during Torn Ligaments game that the other team, Ace Ventura Set Detectives, were all calling him Air Jordan! But it is how Bjorn got this name that turned into such fun for both teams. He went up a few times for a spike WAY up in the air but missed a couple times just to look like Air Jordan up high and swinging! Bjorn did eventually come into contact with some pretty impressive spikes but not matter if he hit it or not he was having a fun time with it as well laughing when he missed and a huge smile when he hit! Keep up the fun Bjorn!

Call me a big kid but I'm still a sucker for when a volleyball player bumps the ball and it flies up and into a basketball basket. I'm even more of a sucker for when the basket is pushed all the way up to the ceiling and parallel with that ceiling. Such was the case on Monday night when Varun Merchant of We'd Hit That made an attempt at a bump. The ball flew up high towards the rafters... there was a collective hush as the on-lookers realized the possibilities... and then... Swish! We'd Hit That wanted 3 points for the play. I only awarded 2, because his foot was CLEARLY ON the 3 point line and not behind. Nice try We'd Hit That. Congratulations Varun! You're bumping accuracy (or perhaps lack thereof) has earned you Player of the Week!

Drum Roll Please........ In the final night of the League, the Championships night, the one and only Allyn Thomas is our player of the week! What great enthusiasm he brings to the court each and every week, but this week was special and fun! He was all over the place, last night might as well play till you drop seemed to be his motto! It was great having Allyn and the rest of the Volley Llamas out there this season and the team did great reaching the championship game in style with Allyn out there running around everywhere! He made me tired just watching him, great job Allyn and team, bring back the fun next season!!
