Team shines bright in hard-fought championship game

No chance of another rainout out today...A sun-drenched field at Irving Park featured Pitch Please vs. The Syndicate in the championship game, two quality teams who stood at the top of the standings throughout the regular season.
With Ross on the mound and Jen & Patrick holding down the left side of the outfield, Pitch Please built up and impressive 12-2 lead heading into the bottom of the 4th inning. The usually crushing bats of The Syndicate finally woke up, scoring 7 runs and making this the close championship game we all expected from the first pitch. Pitch Please tightened up their defense for the remaining three innings (in the words of catcher Ang.."Patrick, you're a freakin' stud!"), holding off a last inning surge and eventually claiming the title with a thrilling 15-14 victory.
Congrats to Pitch Please...a team that represents all that is great about Underdog softball at Irving Park!

How are Standings Calculated?
Standings shown do not automatically adjust for tiebreakers. Tiebreakers may be adjusted manually prior to playoffs with head-to-head followed by runs/points allowed (or sets lost for Volleyball leagues) as the top 2 criteria. Forfeits may be calculated differently as stated below.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
