Emily Kepulis
Hoodrats
Back to back weeks for Hoodrats but again was earned and deserved. Emily was playing tough defense making plays and took a shoot on 2nd base..... By the ball.
After getting on and hustling to 2nd a missed ball got her in the eye. That wouldn't stop her from playing. Great job and way to take the pain and jokes.

Courtney Jensen
Bases Wild
A in her off time and softball player for fun Courtney knows how to get it done. Always cheering for her teammates and Ina good mood, she great for her team.
Adding some hustle, base hits and plays makes it even better. Topping it all of with a sweet catch and cheer in LF, Courtney had a heck of a game. Nice Job

Emily Kepulis' Flair for the Dramatic Makes Her POTW.
Hoodrats
Anybody can touch first base with their foot. On Tuesday night at Alberta Park Emily Kepulis wanted something REALLY challenging. At a crucial point in a close game with runners on base, Emily fielded a difficult ground ball moving to her left down the first base line behind first. She then had to race the hitter to the bag. Seeing she had plenty of time to record the out, instead of just running across the bag with her foot she reached down and hit the bag with her glove... just for that extra element of showmanship. This flair for the dramatic is something that we at Underdog appreciate and makes Emily Kapulis this week's Player of the Week! Congratulations Emily!

Nick Firth
Player of the Week: Nick Firth, Bases Wild
Nick showed tremendous leadership and great sportsmanship captaining Bases Wild Thursday. He pitched a complete game and made some key defensive plays to lead Bases Wild to a decisive 24-10 win over The People vs. Uncle Juice. For his great attitude and performance, Nick is definitely deserving of Player of the Week.
Opening night of the playoffs and the People were ready. Take outfield balls and some swings before, you could tell they were Juiced.
Playing as a team and having fun everyone contributed but Chris added a little something extra. Hustling around the bases, scoring two runs, one a slide that beat the throw! Taking to his pitcher in d, calming him down to finish the game. Nice game and congrats.
NOTE: Games tonight will be at Montavilla Park. Click on the park name to find the address and directions.
Anthony Patin
Hoodrats
Wow, what a game, it had it all. Lead changes, big plays, sportsmanship and a walk off.!? Hoodrats started out a little slow down 4 runs thru the first 3 inning, but they stayed the course. Sticking together and playing each out one at a time, they were focused.
Taking the lead in the bottom of the 6th, only to give up 6 runs at the top of the 7th, lead to the 2 runs and walk off score. All played well, but Tony was making extra plays and sharing the energy with his teammates. Nice game!
Last game of the season and Upper Deckers were ready to play, even though some players were trickling in right before the first pitch. The weather was hot, that didn't stop either team from playing their game.
Adam was holding down the defense at shortstop making several nice plays. Adding some big swings and hustle he was making things happen. I guess the pressure of his kid/s weren't riding him so he could play loose.? Nice game.
