Spring Wed Softcore Co-Ed Volleyball at Fernwood/Beverly Cleary

David had a great night for a great team. David spent so much of the night above the net killing sets and blocking shots you would have thought he was riding on a magic carpet. On a team that communicates very well he was the most vocal. Davids constant hustle and all-out effort made it difficult for "That's what she set" to get anything going. On opening night David set a great tone for the rest of the season and served or should I say spiked notice that Diggin' & Swingin' may be the team to beat.

Setsual Healing came out firing on all cylinders Wednesday night. Working like that proverbial well oil machine. Each member knowing their job and working hard to do it well so the next member could do theirs better. It was a fantastic display of hustle, passing, communication and fun. It was quite a night watching a much improved and much appreciated team enjoy themselves they way they did.

In what turned out to be the closest match of the night Karina helped her team come from behind to win their match 2-1. That's What She Set came out firing on all cylinders, without the steady play of Karina who knows how this match might have turned out. Leading her team in pretty much every way possible Karina had an answer for every challenge. They served it she returned it, they spiked it she dug it. An over the top effort in a hard fought victory.

In the closest match of the night On Your Knees played the way you are supposed to. Moving as one unit on every play they were able to hold tough, rally from behind and move onto the next round of the playoffs. Down in the second game and already down 1-0 in the match Knee's effort started to payoff. Communication and hustle were the two main keys. These two things led to many balls being returned that should have. The constant ralling was two much for Diggin and Swingin to handle. It was a supureb effort that just might end up a championship effort.
