Fall Midcore Volleyball at St Charles Tuesdays

This guy keeps you on your toes! So much so, that you could almost write a Dr. Seuss like story about all the places he will go. Ok, enough of that...Josh Bremer is taking home Player of the Week for his stunning performance and hustle last night against the vets Forgetting Sarah Stewart. No doubt, the hard work and hustle from Josh contributed to his team's victory. He was like a spider out there, stretching and reaching to make all the plays necessary to keep the ball alive. Josh, you are in pretty good shape, for the shape you are in! Great job Josh!

The Jugheads may be named after Cathy, but this week's POTW honors the queen of the soft serve - Vanessa Brooks. While other players toss the ball up and pound it overhand in hopes of perfect placement, Vanessa does it up old school with an under serve that pops up nicely then just dips over to the front row of attackers waiting to be foiled on the return. Because that's exactly what her serves can do. No need for the hard zingers to the defense - Vanessa has a finesse on her serve that defies explanation of how it glides over net then dies just out of reach. The Jugheads had a battle on their hands with NG13, and despite dropping all three sets, the last game was lost by a close edge 25-21due to Vanessa's pop-up, soft serving talents!

Karra has an amazing energy all night! She was consistently cheering on not only her teammates but acknowledging the other teams success. Karra was playing setter and did a beautiful job giving her team opportunities to spike. Yay Karra!
