Summer Sand Volleyball at Woks Up Thursdays

"I tore my ligament."
And that is how the team was born. Soon after their close friend went to the hospital many moons ago and discovered this frightening news, this close group of friends and family put together their team and came up with a clever name.
This team is so close, they are not afraid to throw their own under the bus. Kim is always on island time. When she says she will be somewhere at a certain time, you have to always add an additional hour before she actually shows.
Brad is the soul of the team and he is the Ultimate Flying Monkey. We will let the imagination run wild on this because it cannot be explained on-line.
Lin always has a smile on her face and between her and Sauvagn they can have a smiling contest.
Smiles are very contagious with this team. The Torn Ligaments are like a booster club where they will take care of you and lift you up with a smile and a drink in their hands. For the great times that this team shows on and off the field/courts, we give them the Team of the Week Award. Congratulations!

In the spirit of the Olympics this week we naturally could not just leave the playoffs as team champions and runners up. This week we also had a bronze winner which was our Out of Bounds team. They fought hard in the finals and found themselves just a few points shy of playing for the championship of the league. Luckily the E True Hollywood Story was also not feeling satisfied with their single match-up for the week. These two decided to have a playoff of their own for the final ledge of the podium.

It was a grueling match and included some tough circumstances when the lights went out and took 15 minutes to come back. But these teams love the sport, and they played on for as long as they could. Congratulations Out of Bounds on your victory!
