Summer Softcore Co-ed Kickball at Gabriel Park Mon/Wed

In the bottom of the 7th and final inning.....Drew Pearson had the "right stuff". There was a rally a brewing and the "new kicks on the block" were starting to comeback from their 4 run deficit. 3 runs had crossed the plate but the "new kicks" were still down by 2. Drew stepped up to the plate with 2 runners on base and kicked a bomb into deep right field to clear the bases and win the game! What an incredible start to a great season. Congratulations Drew and the "new kicks on the block"

On an extremely rainy day at Gabriel Park Diane volunteered to play for the other team. the "New kicks on the block". "The new kicks" were short one female and were going to have a tough time with only 6 players. Diane booted the ball, made plays at home, scooped up bunts and rifled them to first base, and continually talked trash to her actual team while they were kicking and she was playing catcher. Thank you for making this is fun night in the rain. Congratulations Diane, you are the player of the week.

Nikki was awesome to watch play on wednesday. Although it was just a for fun game I think that she is well deserving of player of the week. She has such a great attitude and is clearly just out there to have a fun time. She had a really cool catch in right field where she dropped down and caught it low to make the final out. But she made another outstanding out by making a peg out on a runner going from second to third while she was standing all the way between first and second, this was also the last out of the inning. Nikki is a really great player with a superb attitude I look forward to watching her play in the future.

This weeks player of the week was Sarah Elden. She had consistently outstanding defensive play. Her flair for the defensive swag with every successful play was accompanied by an attitude that makes every underdogger proud! Her team's close victory was surely decided on multiple occasions when she tracked a pop up into her hands well below her waist. Her offensive production brought her team ahead in the sixth inning. Great job this week!

Gold glove in the outfield. Great team attitude and she was essential.
