The 6:00PM game between Indy Team #S8 & Cleats & Cleavage showcased the defensive skills of Armando Sistos, a little known talent here in Portland who put all other teams on notice for the rest of the season. Potential base hit after base hit were stolen by Armando throughout the game...his knack for the ball and blazing speed in left field kept the score close and gave his team the chance to make an amazing comeback that fell just short to a quality opponent.
Solid work Aramando...teams are going to have a difficult time getting anything by you this summer at Irving Park.

The nightcap game featured Craig Birnbach of Falco's Army, a dual-threat player both on the mound and at the plate during their game against The Air Bears. Craig led off his hit parade with a screaming home run to right field in the 1st inning, setting the tone offensively for his team the entire game. His bat remained hot for the rest of the game, driving in run after run while racking up double digits RBI's by himself. His smooth flick of the wrist pitching style also kept The Air Bears bats quiet for most of the game.
Sold work Craig...hitting your own player on 3rd base with a line drive has all but been forgiven after a stellar all around game on Sunday.

Huevos Grandes

In an evening where Huevos Grandes had a last-minute double-header scheduled, they came out ready to play. Although their first game didn't go as they had hoped, their second saw them give the 1st place team their first loss of the season. Battling through the heat of being out there for three hours, Sabrina took charge and led her team to the victory. Some would say it was her massive bat this evening but if you ask Sabrina, it was meant to be with her having a dream about this very situation. Time and time again in the game, Sabrina came up with her dream in mind and blasted another shot to left field. Keep having those dreams Sabrina because it certainly worked out in your favor tonight!
