In a day that started off with a defensive lock-down by both teams, it ended in a (relative) flurry of offense. In a 0-0 tie going into the bottom of the fourth inning, She's Going Down 1st started to take control offensively. Knocking in a few runs and almost going through their entire line-up in one inning, they came out on top and looked to keep their defensive prowess going in the final innings. Needless to say, Best Little Scorehouse in PDX had other things in mind! In the top of the 7th inning, Scorehouse mounted a come-back that put She's Going Down 1st on their heels! Knocking in run after run, they came back to knot the game a 5 runs each before finally being retired by the softcore champs of Spring 2014. Not to go down easy, She's Going Down 1st came up big in the bottom of the 7th with the walk-off run to take home their 2nd championship in as many seasons! Needless to say, Jesse's midcore group was bulging with confidence after the game. Way to show us that midcore look as only you know how!
