In the opening night of Fernwood Fall Volleyball, Justin came out to show he was ready for the season. There wasn't a ball that Justin didn't make an effort for. Justin wasn't the only player on Burt Reynolds that was giving it their all but he had that extra tonight to earn him Player of the Week. He has a sweet block and a few great hits that kept Burt Reynolds close tonight against the Kamikazies. Congrats to Justin and good luck to Burt Reynolds the rest of the season!

Block him once...he'll block you 11 Times
Player of the week was dubbed early this week when the first game of the night came with some big hits but even bigger blocks. Ben S from IgoNoUGo had a big game full of blocks tonight but it came with a taste of his own medicine first. Shaggin Balls got a big block on Ben the second play of the night but Ben got bigger as the night went on and he blocked 11 times before the team could get another block on him. Ben finished the night with 16 blocks. He was also on fire from the serving line as he served a long rally to keep it close in game two. Great work Ben and all of IgoNoUGo, way to get the big win in week 2!

This week had a highlight reel game in The Kamikazes vs. IgoNoUGo. The teams split the first two by only 2 points each but the 3rd game was all The Kamikazes lead by their Captain Mike K. Mike pumped the team up and got ready for a fast paced game three. He lead his team with some great hits and a made a few great saves for a demanding 25-6 win. Mike kept the spirit high and made it a fun productive game. Great work to Mike and all of The Kamikazies tonight!

Player of the week was a clear choice this week with how well Hannie from Shots On Us played. It could have been her warm up subbing she did for the Kamikazies or her ready to win attitude, but whatever it was she brought it all tonight. Hannie was passing the tough serves and was ready to swing away when she got a great set. She talked it up with her teammates and lead them to win a close match against Burt Reynolds. Hannie and all of the Shots team played an awesome game tonight. Contrats Hannie!

It was a fun final game of the night for Tuesday volleyball. Both teams had laughs all night long as IgoNoUGo took on Burt Reynolds! While both teams made great plays, Jerry M from IGoNoUGo had quite the game. In one volley along he had 6 hits! Jerry came ready to play tonight. No matter where he was on the court he was ready to pass and hit the ball. He gave IgoNoUGo the ammunition it needed to take a 3-0 win over Burt Reynolds. Great work Jerry and to both teams tonight!

Tracy had all the right serves tonight making him player of the week. Shaggin Balls had a tough game against Bump Set and Beers tonight but Tracy's awesome serving helped give Shaggin Balls the win tonight. On top of serves, Tracy was ready for what ever came it way. He had some great passes that set up his team along with some well placed hits. Tracy was a superstar this week. Great work Tracy and all of Shaggin Balls, see you in the playoffs!

The first round of the playoffs Player of The Week goes to Stephen G from Bump Set and Beers. This was Stephens first season with Underdog and he was a natural leader for his Indy team. Stephen set up some great plays for this team and talked it up all season long. One of the first to arrive each week, he was ready to play some volleyball! It was fun this season with the entire Indy team. Tonight specifilly Stephen set up every single player on his team for a hill tonight. He had a block and a couple hits in himself! Great work tonight Stephen and all of the Bump Set and Beers! See you in another league soon!

Final Fernwood Player of the Week!!!
Long time team at Fernwood, Shots on Us now has the last POG of the Fernwood Era for Underdog Sports. AJ was at the top of his game this week. AJ was serving hard balls, passing it up in the back row and ready to lay down big hits this week. He was all of over the place with his play this week and it helped his team advance to the championship round. He kept up the fight with his team right behind him well into the championship game. Even though Shots didn't walk away the winner they are a fun team to watch and play against tonight and all season long! Great work AJ and all of the Shots On Us! Good luck in future seasons!
