Blundercats!
It was the first night at Harriet Tubman and although the first match wasn't 'official', it was fun. Blundercats didn't get to play their opponent, Sloppy Sets, but that didn't stop'em.
They split their team up and played a game, that was fun, with surprises. Laughs, good teamwork, nice passes and even better attitudes/sportsmanship. Way to work together, nice match.

Starting of the match, Jimmy was ready to jam., wanting to add some music to the mix. Unfortunately for us all, the speaker wasn't wanting to work. That didn't stop Jimmy from hustling around the court.
Saving a couple rallies, with one arm hits over the net. Diving for a couple balls, adding some positive mojo and ready to move, Jimmy had a nice match. No glasses, no problem.

Sloppy Sets
With a team composed for much of the match with only four players, Sloppy Sets easily could have succumbed to a lack of numbers on the court. Never fear, Jonathan Sanford is here! Jonathan scraped and clawed, dove and pounded, leaped and flung himself all over the floor to win as many points as possible. His other three teammates (and a fourth borrowed player for the last 1 1/2 sets), were an inspiring force while playing shorthanded only to drop the first set 28-30. It was a great game to watch with with tremendous volleys from both teams. Sloppy Sets rebounded with inspiration after that close loss with a win in the second game. Jonathan's spark of energy never left him all night and for that, we salute you as POTW!

Second match of the night, was a good one that got a little extra. Both teams were having fun and making plays, but serves were tough to return at times for Spikadelic, but they keep it going.
Marcus pulled out his jump serve! It was a nice one, that got a couple points. He added some big hits at the net and hustle plays, to earn the POTW. Nice match. Glad you got more.....

Starting out the night on time and ready, Tabitha was, lending a hand and helping out. Setting up the net, was the start of her game. Followed by hustle. Moving all over the court, setting, hitting and serving.
Adding the hustle play of the night, a one arm dig in the back row.! Playing aggressive at the net, swinging hard and adding tips, it was a nice match. More points! Way to work team.

Sloppy or not, it's fun
Taking on the Blundercats, one of the top teams in the league, Sloppy Sets had their hands full. They made nice plays and gave it their best, but the cats were too much. That didn't stip'em Sloppy from having fun or playing tough.
Mary was hustling around the court, making plays, with a big dig. Always smiling and in a good mood, she added high fives to her teammates throughout the match. Nice playing and great attitude.!

Sloppy Fun Up Sets
Sloppy Sets vs The Upsets, was a great way to start he playoffs, both teams were having fun and making plays. It was a close match, going to three with the 3rd games score 26-24!
Joanne was hustling, talking and having fun all over the court. Ending game 1 with a kill and serving her team back into game 3, adding smiles and jokes, she was doing it. Way to play and nice match by both sides.

Blundercats
Blundercats's Sara Schaaf earned the nickname "Clutch" for tonight's semi and final games in the Monday Night Tubman League and is our POTW. In the semi final game vs. More Points, Sara found herself at the service line with the 'Cats down a couple points in the second set. She kept her cool and got to work with hitting her spots and racking up the points while her teammates backed her up with flawless volley and assists. The result was a second set win and match to lead the 'Cats to the championship game against Not the Face. Again in the second set, Sara powered serve after serve and bolstered that ability with some powerful net play. Sara and the 'Cats came away with the victory and the USL championship sweatbands - a perfect end for fantastic season....Blunder, Blunder, Blundercats!!
