The Homeless Cougars have found a place to call home at the USL Tubman Thursday Night Early Fall League, and that's atop the podium in First Place as Champions! The 'Cougs have wowed us with their cohesive and fearless teamwork all season long and Thursday night was no exception. Led by POTG Corin and POTW and Captain Rebecca, there was some fierce volleying for every point against Big Pink (Indy Team #55). The 'Cougs trailed by as much as 6 points in the first set of the match, but quickly got into the groove behind Corin, Rebecca and Chris taking care of net duty with fantastic blocking and ball placement. Landon, Will and Gabrielle were also solid both at net and from the back row and Will sealed the deal with consecutive serving for game point in the first. The 'Cougs led the entire second game to complete the match and secure the championship. Kudos as well to Big Pink who stayed focused and competitive, and made for a great opponent in the finals and throughout the season.
