Cromartie's Kids
The 4:00pm game on field #1 featured defending champs Cromartie's Kids, a veteran team with the skills, confidence and salary cap room necessary to make another title run. Ready to test their championship merit from the get-go was team LO- Ballers, a new team to Underdog yet well versed in what it takes to be a serious threat to the boys in green.
In a back and forth game that featured big play after big play, many in attendance had a feelin' the outcome would come down to the last few possessions. With LO-Ballers within striking distance and possession of the ball, Luke Of Cromartie's Kids did what he does best at just the right moment, making an outstanding interception and sealing a too close for comfort opening day win...one step closer in their pursuit of the coveted black wristband.

Derek Nagy
Derek Nagy
SundayFunday
In what the oddsmakers saw as a very competitive game on paper between SundayFunday and Gaiscioch on Sunday at Lewis & Clark, Derk Nagy brought it all game long in a fine display of what it takes to be a successful quarterback with Underdog.
A good night's sleep, Wheaties in the morning and a fine showing at the combine the prior Friday...a great recipe for bringing an "A" game to the field. His sharp passed, pass rush agility and knack for big plays helped secure a convincing 37-20 victory, leading his team to a perfect 2-0 record after the 2nd week of the season.

In a great match-up on Field 1 at Lewis & Clark on Sunday, Justin of team AA flipped his feared patented offensive skills to the defensive side of the ball, letting SundayFunday know early an often that it was going to take a mighty effort to knock the AA boys from the unbeaten ranks of the men's division.
Interceptions are great and usually get you on the highlight film, but it was Justin's amazing quick closing speed that led to many incomplete passes by a talented SundayFunday quarterback. His flag pulling was also at another level this afternoon, leading a defense that brought it all game long and secured their place atop the men’s division with a hard fought 40-23 win.

A Triple Threat!!!
Josh is this weeks Men's player of the week.

Josh pretty much did it all on Sunday. He was a defensive ball hawk who was quick to not only break up passes, but snatch an INT.

On Offense, Josh caught some deep passes and even stepped in as QB on a few plays.

Josh's play was fun to watch throughout the day and was a unanimous decision for his teammates on player of the game.

Great Job Josh and congrats on being Underdog's player of the week.

Pure Speed
We witnessed not one, not two, but three sonic booms during the Men's League yesterday.

Shawn took the ball on three short passes throughout the game and hit the after burners, weaving in and out of the defense for three epic runs that resulted in TDs.

Seeing the wake of bodies sprawled out on the turf from defenders trying to capture the flag from the blur that ran buy was entertaining enough, but what was most enjoyable was watching the runs that weaved across the field in a manner that left most observers in awe.

A no doubt unanimous pick for player of the game by his team, Shawn earned player of the week honors for his brilliant performance.
