Winter Midcore Co-ed Indoor Volleyball at Fernwood Tuesday

Hilary S from Not the Face earned herself Player of the Week for the first week at Fernwood for winter volleyball. This is Not the Face's first season moving up to midcore. They showed they were ready for the next lever with their play tonight and they were lead by Hilary. She was calling plays and setting her team up for some big hits and ultimately a great victory. It was a team effort tonight but Hilary made it all fit together! Great work Hilary and the entire Not the Face team! Good luck this season, midcore has been waiting for you!

The last hour of the night at Fernwood was a fun one for the Just the Tip and Drunken Sets match up. All three games were back an fourth, sometimes a serving battle and others a tipping war. But the girl who landed the last point to win the game earned herself the Player of the Week. Way to go Tresa! It wasn't just one play that Tresa had that defined her night is was an overall great night for her. She has a mean serve that was well placed all over the court, she catches you off guard with a tip or two and she can get up and swing away for some great kills. Just the Tip as a whole team came ready to play and even though they were a man down, they walked away with their first win tonight! Great work to the whole team and way to go Tresa!

Hands down player of the week goes to Andrew J from the Dump Set Spike team! It never fails that every week Andrew come with the best attitude possible. This week was no different! New to volleyball, every week Andrew improves on a new skill. This week he was setting his team up for some big hits. He keeps his teammates pumped up and he is always ready when the ball heads his way. Great work Andrew and all of Dump Set Spike, way to get the sweep this week!

Erin B from Drunken Sets earned herself player of the week for awesome play and great reflexes. Sometimes you have a night were you are right on the mark and that was Erin tonight. She had a hand full of one arms saves. Her hitting was right on and she was talking it up for her team. Great work Erin and all of Drunken Sets, see you next season!
