Spring Co-ed Flag Football at Lewis and Clark Sundays

Pull it out in the end came out ready to play on this bright, sunny afternoon. David took control of the game early though by coming up with a couple interceptions that he took to the house. David was making great reads all game, on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. He had a big touchdown in the second half and yet another pick six to seal the deal. He found the endzone four times in a single game which is definitely deserved of player of the week honors.

Ben and the rest of the Balls and Dolls seemed to have their heads on a swivel all day. By keeping one eye on the other teams quarterback they were able to haul in some pretty great interceptions to earn the win.
The play that earned Ben player of the week honors happened on the goal line. Ben had the quickest hands on the field by far, reaching almost to the ground to scoop up a deflected pass. He dashed away from the end zone to set up Balls and Dolls for another touchdown drive. Congratulations Ben!

Audrey made exceptional plays on her own team, and even more so as a sub for AA. Against one of the most fear QBs, on Megatron, she quickly put a stop to his momentum from the get go. She pressured the QB into throwing numerous interceptions, and even a sack, crushing their spirit from the start. In the 2nd have she tipped a pass as the rusher, caught it and ran it for a touchdown, leading to a 69-38 win.

The best game of the day came in the first hour of the day between Blood, Sweat, and Beers against Twirl Baby Twirl. In a back and forth match all game TBT found themselves down two points with less than two minutes left. Chaz marched TBT downfield and put in the potentially game winning touchdown with 20 seconds left. TBT converted on the two point attempt to make it a cool six point lead.
The entire BSB squad is no stranger to these late game, high pressure situations though. 20 seconds and three timeouts is more than they need to get down the field and into the end zone. Todd T. did just that with time expiring by going way up in the air to grab the ball and just barely getting those toes down inbounds. It was a spectacular display of awareness and athleticism.BSB punched in the extra point to steal the win away from TBT with no time left and to advance in the playoffs.
