Summer Co-ed Softball at Gabriel Park Sundays

Sean was in classic mode this weekend. He was the embodiment of positive energy through out the whole game. From the his jokes about his own pitching to his encouragement for the other teams batters. He just comes to the field to play ball and have fun.

This is the fun league and fun is the name of the game and this lady is winning at having fun. She takes having fun seriously and she takes winning seriously and she takes being the sweetest person on the team seriously and she is winning at all three not to mention she is a mom. One of the hardest and the best job in the world and there again she is winning. She's the player of the week because she has the attitude we look for in this league have fun, be safe dooing whatever you are dooing and she is such a sweetheart I hope to see you around more often.

The player who receives the honor of the player of the week may need some introduction to some. There is one person she needs not be introduced to as they were formally introduced during the game. Let me explain. My vote goes to Emily Cain a smaller framed young lady, seemingly shy, out there to have fun with the rest of the group.
Well most of that is true, she is there to have fun but she is a competitor. Because she has a smaller frame people moved in on her at bats. As did this one male outfielder who has learned better. She got ahold of a great pitch and over his head it went. He thought he would be able to jump and get it to recover but nothin doin. (Nothing doing) the tipping point was her next at bat do you think this guy learned his lesson? Well no he didn't she got him again and this time he fell and rolled, it was hard to not have a good chuckle (his girl did). On her next at bat she hits a line shot (a stinger) up the middle. We should take a lesson from that ... NEVER underestimate anyone no matter what. Great game Emily
