Fall Midcore Volleyball at St Charles Tuesdays

Let me tell you about E! True Volleyball Story Champion game. Set 1 started off a little slow, Shaggin Balls were up, then the cheer squad entered and there was a momentum shift. The talk in Rae’s and the E!xcitement grew, but not enough to clench victory in the first set. Set two was a clean slate. Adam kept his serves consistent and sharp while Sara kept up the tempo with on point sets. The ran away with the second match 25-13. Set three and Shaggin Balls wasn’t giving up. They fought back and forth for the lead. It was E!’s E!nergy E!nthusiasm and E!lectricity that helped them grab the last set 25-22 and the championship! Great game!

Adam is this weeks player of the week! On more than one occasion in this game he serves his team out of a hole and into the lead. Adam kept is cool and served ball after ball with a strong flat underhand serve the other team had difficulty reading. Adam also was positive and help keep up the teams spirit and energy! Great job Adam, see you next season!

Jeff was an energizer bunny tonight! Between intense rallies where he would be throwing himself across the floor to save the ball, he was singing all the 80s hits like a Rockstar. Jeff's serves were unstoppable, and his hits were deadly. This was one of the most competitive games of Underdog volleyball I have ever seen, and Jeff made sure to play his part to help his team secure the win. I loved the spirit Jeff brought to the court, proving that his team was a unit that could play high level volleyball with effortless communication and an abundance of laughter. Great job tonight Jeff, you were a BEAST!

No matter how intense the competition, there should always be room for sportsmanship in any game. Drew loves volleyball which makes him a prime candidate for an impromptu double header. When the Average Jolenes were short a Joe, Drew stepped up to the net. By being the best sub everrrrrr, Drew embodied the Underdog spirit with his attitude. For increasing the fun had by all, Drew is our Player of the Week. Congratulations!
