A team built out of fun and spirit who pick each other up and always play with a wicked smile on their face just walked through the playoffs and smashed their way to a title tonight.
After a solid warm up match with "i'd hit that" in the semi finals where they coasted through their first two games with a grin and a swagger, they stepped up to play freeballers for a chance at immortality in the Underdog World. The match was AWESOME, several back and forth moments. There were times when either team could have fallen. In the end it took 31 points from Octothorpes in the second game to declare a victor.
A crazy group of fun loving people who personify the spirit of what it means to be an Underdog Team now sits alone atop the Midcore Thursday Night League in East Moreland.
Their style of play can be described as smashing pumpkins (spikes) and hosting a block party (Josh at the net), these guys and gals fought their way to the top and are now poised to repeat as champs.
Thanks for making this session so much fun team.
Every week he shows up and goes about his business. Only his business is smashing spikes at his opponents and causing havoc withy his serves. Casey brings a complete game with him week in and week out.
Always quick with a word of encouragement and a refreshingly positive attitude, Casey inspires his teams play.
