Info on the Return of Underdog Leagues

(Updated 6/23)

As newer guidelines have now been released by the Oregon Health Authority and Governor Kate Brown's office, below are the current plans and details of how we can begin to open our leagues back up.

Our traditional sports (Softball, Kickball, Volleyball, Flag Football, Dodgeball)  are not allowed to resume until Phase II.  As Multnomah County (Portland) has now moved into Phase I (as of 6/19) this means the earliest Phase II and our traditional leagues can resume play will be July 10th.

As each sport comes with unique challenges, we’re taking a different approach to each sport as detailed below:

Field Day & Wiffle Ball Leagues (NEW!)

Great news, we’re now offering a Field Day League in addition to a Wiffle Ball League that can each start up in Phase I and will begin the week after July 4th!  Team sizes of just 4-6 players so grab your friends and sign up today!

Trivia Nights & Trivia League (NEW!)

We’re continuing to offer one-night online trivia for teams of 3-8 players on both Tuesday and Friday nights!  We’ll also be starting our first 4-week Trivia League on Thursday nights starting July 9th!

Softball/Kickball

We had hoped to be able to offer both our Summer and Fall leagues but unfortunately there is no longer enough time to do so. Our Summer leagues will be cancelled and we'll be offering our traditional Fall leagues that will begin a couple of weeks earlier than usual - as early as August 2nd.

Sand/Grass Volleyball

Leagues will begin as soon as Multnomah County is approved for Phase II – hopefully on July 10th.

Indoor Volleyball

We will NOT be offering any indoor volleyball until the Fall season.  These leagues will be posted to our website in the coming weeks.

Flag Football

Our Summer Wednesday league is cancelled.  We will resume league play as soon as possible in the Fall.  These leagues will be posted to our website in the coming weeks.

Teams and Individuals that have already signed up for leagues will be contacted with specifics for their league and options to move your registration to an Early Fall league, receive a Gift Card, or be issued a refund if necessary.  Keep an eye out for an email no later than Friday, June 26th with more details.

Specific details on social distancing and protocol/rule changes will be released as soon as we have a firm start date for each sport/league.  We’re currently working with each of our location partners (both private facilities and Portland Parks) on details for each location as regulations and best safety practices are continually changing.  However, social distancing guidelines and face coverings when possible will certainly be a part of our leagues.  Safe, Fair, and Fun is what we’re about after all!

We miss seeing all our players in person and we’ll update this page in the coming weeks as we have more firm dates and information for you!
