Not only does How I Set Your Mother (HISYM) have one fabulous team name, they capped off an undefeated season with first place in the Midcore division at SE PDX Thursday night league. HISYM defeated Sand Sets in a well-executed championship game with a steady pace and cohesive plan of attack. HISYM players Ben, Megan, Aubrey and Jeff showed us a textbook game plan for victory with some incredible ball setting, service and precise teamwork. Sand Sets was a notable opponent who hung with HISYM throughout the two sets for some exciting and challenging volleys, and battled honorably with only three players in two close matches (21-16, 21-17). But in the end, HISYM's collaborative effort was too much to overcome and they claimed the 2014 SE PDX Thursday night Midcore Champs. Congratulations to both teams and we'll look for a rematch next year!
Ben L of How I Set Your Mother (how fantastic is that team name???) receives POTW salutations due to his lightening fast feet which propelled him to new heights in a few incredible kills. Not to mention leaping tall (OK, 3 ft.) fences in a single bound to retrieve the ball when it sailed over. Ben rocked some crazy wild board shorts which blinded his opponents, dazzled his teammates, and spurred How I Set Your Mother to victory!
