Squirrel

What do you get when you take a forfeit, a fun loving family (team), and add a squirrel? You get what amounted to this weeks team of the week and event of the week.

AA found themselves without an opponent on Sunday, but that didn't stop them. They brought the ladies down and put together a 40 min exhibition full of fun and laughs where many of the ladies out played the guys.

Just before halftime, a shout could be heard across the field as a squirrel had made its way into the stands and was heading for someones egg rolls and brownies. The whole team went after the squirrel, led by their fearless leader Michelle (sorry if I spelled that wrong) and were able to fight off the squirrel and save the brownies (must have been some good brownies to get the whole team involved)

The fun, laughter, and epic squirrel event all led to a great Underdog day. Thank you AA for having such a great time and thank you for being such a great representative for our league.

Dominic 'Player of the Week'

Alcoholics Anonymous

This afternoon seemed like any other Sunday with the sun shining and flag football happening. How wrong I was though, it was a very special day. It was about midway through the first half when The Cure lined up for their two point conversion against Alcoholics Anonymous. The quarterback looked left and came back to throw right just as Dominic broke towards the receiver. Dominic picked it off in full stride taking it back clear across the field completely untouched. It doesn't happen often but it really is a heck of a play. Dominic went on to score a couple touchdowns as well. Not a bad day at all.

Justin

Alcoholics Anonymous

I'm guessing that Justin knows his was around the clubs and dance floor because this guy's got moves! The changes of direction, spins and just all-around elusiveness give Justin tons of yards-after-catches but in the end it's not the other team that suffers the most...it's his shorts! Although we don't necessarily recommend speedo's or spandex maybe some old-school basketball short shorts or something might help keep his budget down in future weeks from his pockets getting ripped.
