Week 2: Big Hat Night

TJ went into tonights bowling league thinking he'd roll into the 100's, like he's done in the past. But in game 1 lady luck stuck down those plans and left TJ with a 54 and confused look. "I usually roll about a hundred more than that" he said. All it took was a visit from the Lucky Train to turn TJ's fortunes around. In game two after being the lucky train big winner he nearly doubled his previous score, raked in some prizes and left having helped his team net 3 points. Congrats on being this week's POTW TJ.

Bowling in their B-Day suits.
We had a lot of great participation this week for our "Surprise Birthday" theme. Not only did Red Circles of Awesome decorate their table with all kinds of b-day stuff, they also wore their birthday suits. Everyone bowled in ties and suit jackets to celebrate the occasion in style and spirit. A happy birthday indeed.

Week 4: Pajama Party Night

A perfect storm style of events led to this week's player of the week. 1. Drew represented this week's spirit theme for his team coming to bowl in Coors pj bottoms and a cut-off sleeveless tank-top. 2. PinAisle Dysfunction brought their boombox and blasted music over the DJ from the fundraiser down the lanes and the music played over the P.A. 3. "Gangnam Style" came on just as Drew was on the lane bowling. All three factors combined and created the best "Gangnam" dance across the run up I've ever seen. Great moves, Drew!

Wait, this isn't the gym? looked like royalty tonight, well some of them. Others were bowling ballerinas. Their normal, enthusiastic cheering was heightened by their tu-tus and tiaras they sported for their theme of Pretty, Pretty, Princesses. Way to go Princesses of the Lanes.

Traveling Trophy
Gutter Snipes were given a spare pin a few weeks back and instructed to do something with it. Today they brought it back, with some slight modifications. The pin has now become BTB Thursday's Spirit Champ Traveling Trophy. The pin is incrusted with gems and hangs a couple feet off the neck thanks to a beautiful gold change affixed to the pin. The first recipients of the Gutter's Traveling Trophy and Spring Spirit Champs are the Red Circles of Awesome.
Spring BTB Thursdays Wrap Up
Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts wrap up Thursdays this Session
As usual, Big Turkey Bowling ended on a great note. Tonight we saw bowlers adorned with grass skirts, Hawaiian skirts, coconut bras, and, new to the league, the Gutters Traveling Spirit Trophy. The trophy, created and designed by Gutter Snipes, was awarded to our Spirit Champs, Red Circles of Awesome.

Our League Champs are Blame it on the Lane. They were consistently the team to beat all season long. Tonight was no different. Two 600+ games earned them the victory and title of League Champions.

The No-Tap Championship went to The Michael Bowltons who were able to earn eight No-Tap Coupons and the title.
