Last matches of late fall volleyball, ended on a high note. All teams playing were having fun, cheering and making some nice plays to help their team out. Gravey Diggers, were the team to beat on season and that didn't change tonight. Scared Hitless, won a nice match against Spike Club to face the first place team in the finals.
It started off as a close, match with extended rallies, great communication and laughs. Believe it or not, it ended that way too. Both teams showed excellent sportsmanship, calling their own fouls, while staying aggressive and having fun. The Gravey Diggers, stayed true to form, serving tough,backing up teammates and spreading the ball around. Nice team victory and great season Diggers! Congratulations and good luck in the 'new' league.
Gravey Diggers came into the night undefeated and left as champs. Scared Hitless gave'em what they had and didn't quite all match. Playing hard and having fun til the end, Hitless played a nice team match.
The Diggers were Gravey though and too much in the end. Rob was hustling all over the court, whether it was back or front row. His hat couldn't stop'em, as he tossed it and kept playing! Nice match!
Showing up right on time, tieing the laces and getting a couple practice serves in, was all it took of Mark. Good thing, his teammates were just as ready. Making plays, serving points, and talking, the Gravey Diggers were riding the train.
Mark was on the floor tonight. Playing defense, digging several balls, three of which were in a row! Adding points by serving and swing, he had a nice match.
Opening night, but with the returning teams and their play, they didn't skip a beat. Garvey Diggers were working as a team talking, calling the ball and hustling.
Whitney was adding to the gravey, by diving and digging hard spikes. Adding some big spikes of her own for kills and serving tough. Staying positive and cheering on her team, her game and attitude were on. Nice match.
