Summer Co-ed Midcore Kickball Sundays at Unthank Park

Ben Cranson did what every person dreams of doing on sunday...he kicked the game winning kick for KICK BALLS AND POUND SAND on opening day of summer kickball. Ben came up to the plate in a clutch situation and delivered, helping his team with a game winning RBI single up the middle. He also was getting dirty in the field by diving all over the place making some great catches. For his great day and last second heroics Ben gets player of the week.

In a monumental matchup between Ball's Deep and Blue Balls Daryl Sichler's wipe-out was truly memorable. About half way through the game Daryl came storming out from behind the plate to retrieve a bunt. He snatched the ball then started to fall. Now this was no ordinary fall. It was the type of wipe-out where, at least for a second, you might think I can probably ride this out and regain my feet if I just run harder. Ba-Bam! Daryl planted himself hard in to the turf on top of the ball. Everyone stood quiet and concerned for a second until Daryl rose from the ground with an ear to ear smile, grass clippings in his hair, and other various ball diamond stains on his jersey. Thanks for the good times Daryl!

Now announcing the freshest of fresh new looks for Underdog Kickball. That's right, we're gonna get those blue blocker sunglasses in full effect this summer. Mr. Clem showed us all how much these little babies make you look cool, even in the hottest weather. Hey, and that red rubber ball pops out even better against the sky! Maybe that's how he pulled off so many plays out there in the field. Well done, David. You have no doubt started the trend of the Underdog kickball that we can stand behind. GO! BLOCK THAT BLUE!

Molly had a great day on the field. She made an amazing defensive play while playing catcher. After recieving a throw from a teammate at home plate, Molly "Hot Puma" Montgomery leaped into action and took down a poor, unsuspecting baserunner at second base with a pinpoint accurate throw. Awesome D gives Molly the Player Of The Week nod.
