Honey Nut Ichiros-Indy #2, subject to change, Widmer Drifters
POTW: Andy Jeffers
The Old Skool Pimps
Although Andi stated this was the first time she has played any organized sport, this Ump sure doesn't believe it. She was a catching fool behind the plate, grabbing anything that came her way. At the plate, Andi looked like a natural, hitting well placed liners over the infielder's heads.
Also, Andi was probably having the most fun of any player this evening, which after all, is what Underdog is all about.
Blue Ballin'-Indy #1, Box Knockers, The Old Skool Pimps
POTW: Sabrina Dunsworth
Honey Nut Ichiros-Indy #2
Every team needs a player like Sabrina. With her constant jokes and upbeat attitude, Sabrina keeps not only her team, but the all the other teams smiling and having fun. On the field, she is a consistant pitcher always locating the strike zone.
If you were to look up "Underdog Sports League Player" in the dictionary, you would find a picture of Sabrina

POTW: The Amezcuas
The Old Skool Pimps
The three Amezcuas - Amy, Karen, and Maria - ignited the Old Skool Pimps to a last inning rally. While thier appluadable underdog efforts did not produce a "W" for the Pimps, expect these three ladies to guide the pimps to some suprising late season wins. Failing that, expect some more awesome Spanglish cheers...!
As the vocal leader of the Box Knockers, Elliot takes the task of leadership and keeping everybody loose to heart. Always with a joke and a one-liner, Elliot brings a smile to everyone playing. He's a pretty good shortstop as well and doesn't hesitate to dive head first for a grounder in the hole.

POTW: Pete Basting
Widmer Drifters
On a cool night, Pete's offense was on fire, supplying heavy hitting early in often in a big win for the Drifters. Pete excelled in the field as well coming up with one catch after another. Pete also displayed great sportsmanship, reigning in the Drifters attack once the contest was no longer in doubt.
Greg was a bottle of energy for the Ichiros this week, providing one highlight reel catch after another. Greg also connected on some really sweet hits. Just an all around great performance for one of sport's good guys
Box Knockers, Honey Nut Ichiros-Indy #2, subject to change, The Old Skool Pimps
POTW: Cory Bolkan
Blue Ballin'-Indy #1
It was a marvelous night for Cory, who made one "Willie Mays" catch after another in center field. Cory was also a terror in the batters box reaching safely everytime to bat, often times going opposite field with a perfect inside out swing reminiscent of Tony Gwynn.
In a game that had 4 lead changes, and ended in a 25-25 tie; every member of The Box Knockers and Blue Ballin' are the players of the week. This game featured towering homeruns, dazzling glove work, and an 8 run rally in the final stages of the game. Every single player came up with a big play at some point in time during this game, so congrats to the Box Knockers and Blue Ballin' for playing one epically awesome softball game.

POTW: Samantha Pitts
Widmer Drifters
With the whole team contributing this week on the way to a win. Samantha picked up her game as well driving in 3 RBIs and going 2-for-3 on the night and scoring as well. Samantha has shown dramatic improvements and is looking to become the clean up hitter!

POTW: TJ Steinbach
Box Knockers
TJ started the game off the right way with an awesome diving catch to get the out on the very first batter. TJ continued his amazing play throughout the entire game and was one of the main reasons the Box Knockers were able to win. Great play out there, for sure.
Big players make big plays in big games and Tim Sosinski lived up to that billing. Tim really held the opposition's offense down with great play at shortstop, robbing singles and gunning down base runners. It was just an all around awesome performance today.
