What a great bowling finals and NoTap action squad out there on the Valley Lanes last Thursday! Lots of cheers, jeers, and beers throughout the night (and more of the prior as more of the latter were consumed).
The first games ended with an amazing upset victory of #4 seeded Kingpins taking out the #1 Incredibowls by a mere 8 pins! Split Happens, the #2 team, made short work of Pinheads in the first and rolling strong into the finals.
The reigning 3 time champions of No-Tap, Balls Deep, had a lot to prove against 9 Happens on the no tap lanes. After game one, it was a close match. Too close. Balls Deep really had to step it up to keep the lead and step it up they did. In the second game they pulled in a ton of no-tap coupons while 9 Happens found themselves falling further and further behind. Balls Deep, No-Tap Champs!
As game 2 began, Pinheads, all dressed for success in their neckties, picked up the Spirit Champion title (woot woot)! Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen so many spirit coupons in my life. That stack was ridiculous. Great work, Pinheads!
The finals of Thursday Valley was absolutely epic. Both Kingpins and Split Happens were rolling like champions, but even after a slip-to-foot-fault, S.H. was able to pull just far enough ahead to leave no question that they were BTB champions!
