A tip of the hat to this weeks player of the week - Ryan Sciuchetti. Ryan is constantly hustling with a great attitude. He is certainly a leader both on the field with his play and in the club house. Ryan showed great sportsmanship and helped his team to a big win. Great game, Ryan!

Perfect Strangers
POTW: Tess Blessman
Indy Indeed!
It was a beautiful sunny day at Montavilla for a day of Spring league Softball. The day got even nicer with the arrival of Tess Blessman. She had a smile on her face from the beginning and was ready to play. Her aggressiveness and pure swagger had the Perfect Strangers shaking in their cleats. The continuous cheerfulness she had kept the field vibrant. Her wonderful attitude complimented her stellar performance on the mound. WHAT A COMPETITOR!

POTW: Stacy Stoddard
Sticks and Chicks-Indy #1
With her cool demeanor and fun attitude, Stacy is a model team player that any team would be lucky to have. Steady at the plate and in the field, Stacy showed everyone how a softball player should play. Great game Stacy!
Ryan Wagner would have made Ozzie Smith proud with his play at short stop this week. Ground balls to the left side of the infield were as good as outs. His defensive showcase featured a fully extended diving catch, numerous ranging plays into the outfield grass, and oodles of clean throws across the infield. Indeed, Ryan Wagner's teammates say he is blessed with a "silky smooth short style."

POTW: Bill Wright
Sons of Pitches
Some people bring their game to the field. Other players bring their game and some beverages. Some players bring all of the above and a grill. Bill Wright brought all of the above, and didn't just bring a grill, but brought a full blown wood barbecue smoker--that is Underdog MVP status. Throw in the fact he had more triples in a day than Paul Molitor did in a career, and we've got our player of the week.
