An amazing circus catch it was! With a soft kick to deep 2nd base both Scott and Shannon thought they had the ball tracked pretty well. Unfortunately they caught that nasty bug that has been going around called, butter fingers. With the ball sailing towards the ground after efforts by both Scott and Shannon the entire Rose City Ballers had given up hope on an out being made on that play. Not Kevin! With a rose in his mouth he made a spectacular 15 foot leap to make the catch. It was as if he was rescuing a baby that had just fallen from a 2nd floor window and Kevin's hands were the cradle catch it needed. Way to save the day Kevin!
Sparkle Motion showed up in full force on a rainy Saturday afternoon, decked out in purple sparkle headbands ready for a battle. In a game that came down to the wire, Weston's defensive performance kept Sparkle Motion with the lead for most of the game and sealed the victory after Kickin' Ain't Easy made a ferocious comeback in the top of the 7th. In the bottom of the 7th with the score tied 4-4, Weston stepped up to the plate, kicked a shot down the right field line and coasted around the bases to to score the winning run.
Stacy is a tough competitor and inspiring leader. Determined to get her team the lead, she charged home for the go-ahead run, but was met at the plate by the catcher. On the slide, her foot caught the edge of the plate and she sustained an ankle injury. She was helped off the field by her team, who then played on in her honor and finished a hard-fought battle for the 3-3 tie. Her team and everybody at Underdog wish her a speedy recovery!
Jenny is this week's POTW for her awesome defense and going all out for her team. It didn't take long for Jenny to get into the action when she made an amazing catch at shortstop. Her ability to stay with a towering pop fly and then make the grab while falling down was truly a great effort. Her tenacity lasted throughout the game even though she took some hard scrapes to the knee. Great job Jenny!
William came in as a sub for his bro and might have left with a starting position. With encouragement from his team, he hustled and smiled his way around the field and help earn his team the "W".
On Saturday, Morgan Ramsey came ready to lay everything on the line for the win. Morgan was in the zone and didn't let single ball drop within 50 ft radius. Morgan was playing with total reckless disregard for human life!!!

Kick Tease-Indy #1
Kick Tease showed up today ready for a great, soggy time. They brought their BBQ, cooler, and game... after game... after game. With a handful of their players booting their way through three games tonight. Way to brave the rain and beer filled stomachs.
Gwyn Gilkeson not only contributed to an offense that scored 32 runs over 2 games in the league tournament, but she also made an amazing circus catch near the pitchers mound that will be burned into the memory of kickballers from around the league. Most importantly, she contributed to a team that was able to have fun in all aspects of the game showing great sportsmanships towards her teammates and her foes. Great job Gwyn!
