Nathan "Sac Master" Barry
Alcoholics Unanimous
The world outside the Flag Football Gridiron knows him as Nathan Barry but when he takes the field he becomes the "Sac Master". Nope, that wasn't a spelling error and you can argue that fact all you want but there's no arguing that even the day after St. Patty's you can't keep that master from doing what he does best, pulling flags behind the line of scrimmage.
Jim, Jack, James, or Johnny couldn't stop Barry from laying extreme pass rush and the boys definitely couldn't keep him out of of the endzone. The master even found the endzone a couple of times, one TD was a long scamper between multiples defenders.
Congrats Sac Master, new cleats and an Irish holiday couldn't keep you putting in a great performance, making you our UNDERDOG MEN'S LEAGUE FLAG FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK.
Gaiscioch pronounced Gosh-Kia came out Sunday ready to play some football. Unfortunately, their opponents did not show up and the game was considered a forfeit.
Gaiscioch still came out and we still had a game. It was a game of competition and despite the crazy rain and the 80 mph wind this team still had a good time playing football.
They did not complain about the rain. They cheered when they scored and even cheered when the team they ended up playing against did something good.
After the final whistle blew, Gaiscioch went up to every player and said......"Lets have a beer!" Good times and great sportsmanship which easily gives this team the Team of the Week Award.
They call him Tommy "the machine gun" Moore for various reasons that we cannot mention. On Sunday, Tommy displayed his nifty feet and agility while flexing his strong arm with precised bullet throwing accuracy. Team Alcoholics Unanimous played their rival foes in what proved to be a battle to the very end.
In the final minute of the game, with AU down by 5, QB Tommy took the reigns and showed why they call him "The Machine Gun". He started to pick the defense apart one play at a time. The defense sent in players to rush to help disrupt his game play, but this only made him more precise. He danced around the field, evading the rusher and all while making a better game play out of it. He finally found his receiver in the end zone for the game winning touchdown with only 20 seconds left on the clock.
People often assume that he played somewhere outside of high school, but the NFL would've messed up his game. For his quick dance moves and precision, The Machine Gun, Tommy Moore gets the Player of the Week award, Congratulations.

Road trip
Gaiscioch had their #1 fan come to their 1st round playoff game. Ben Foley had brought his mother to the field to help cheer them on.
Ben's mother made the trip all the way from Medford, OR, about a 4 hour trip, just so she can see what kind of man her son has become. She was a proud mother as she sat up on the bleachers, watching him interact with his teammates and opposing players.
Ben is a true sport of Underdog. Always smiling and always with a positive behavior on and off the field. Unfortunately, Gaiscioch's #1 fan could only do so much as they lost in the 1st round in a nail biting game, 44-46.
Either way, Ben Foley gets the Player of the Week award for bringing his mother to the game to enjoy on this Mother's Day.
Ed Norton took a break from his acting and graced us with his presence. Tyler Yates from Alcoholics Anonymous denies it, but he is Ed Norton's stunt double. When Underdog Flag Football is played Ed Norton becomes Tyler's stunt double.
Because Tyler Yates denies it, we all think that he signed a non-disclosure agreement. Anyway you put it Tyler Yates/Ed Norton played like a maniac on Sunday. He was the acting QB for AA and he came through making it a point to shatter his previous passing completion percentage. He had a near perfect game, completing 43/50 passing attempts for 537 yards. He did throw one interception which made his QB rating drop to 114%.
Tyler lead his team to a championship in the USL Men's league. To prepare for this game he said he saw American History X and it showed. Tyler took the field but Ed Norton played flawless. Congratulations to the Player of the Week!
