Fall Co-ed Volleyball at Eastmoreland Courts Thursdays

The big gigantic spider
Climbed through my scoreboard stacK
Out came a scream
As I threw those clipboards back
Over came Jimmy
To captured him in a flash
And that big ole creepy spider
Found his home in a blue trash can

Wow! Rosa really gave it her all tonight! She was all over the court for her team and played some solid defense. In one single rally she was down on the floor popping the ball up and keeping it in play three times in a row without even getting enough time in between to get back on her feet! It wasn't the first or the last time she was diving to the ground for her team either! Way to put in the work Rosa, keep it up!

On occasion, sports offer a platform for an athlete to transcend the competition and the game played. Such was the case when Trent of Whatever Gets It Up transcended volleyball with his exemplary performance. Sacrificing his body, whatever Gets It Up turned to Trent whenever all hope seemed to be lost at the end of a play. Time and time again, Trent answered the call, recording more belly flop pancakes than anyone else this evening along the way. For his no holds barred performance, Trent is our Player of the Week! Congratulations!

The courts were alive this week as each player was fighting for every single point trying to help their team climb to the top in the Playoff games! Erin from Block Party was getting down and scrappy when it came to fighting for those points. She had an incredible dive from the back row to get that ball up and it didn't end there! it was the start of an awesome play that was quite the showdown at the net! This game was truly a make or break moment for these teams as they battled it out to see who would move to the top and Erin was making the most of that moment along with her entire team! Congrats Erin on being our Player of the Week!
