Summer Rookie/Softcore Co-Ed Kickball at King School Park Sundays

Picture Roger Clemens. Take away the steroids and the acquittal then add a sense of dignity. Now imagine that guy got together with Jenny Finch and they had a daughter, and together they raised that daughter to be the world's best kickball pitcher. That's the image I got Sunday when I watched Mary play.

These guys and gals can straight out play. Each week they bring their A game, and this week was no exception. Pill Crushers sweated this one out under the mid-day sun as temperatures soared above150 degrees (dramatization). It was two defensive juggernauts going head-to-head. The game ended in a 3-3 tie, but I think we can all agree that Pill Crushers gained a psychological edge on their opponent, who, until yesterday, had beaten every team they faced.

Who wears short shorts? "Zaksquatch" Zak Cate does, that's who. Zak was on his best Baseketball-esque psyche-out game Sunday, as Us pulled away and advance to Round 2 of the Rookie league playoffs.

With his booty-dancing on third and his quick witted response to hecklers while pitching "What? You want a belly-itcher? (complete with scratching of his hairy belly), "Zaksquatch" personified exactly what Underdog is all about... FUN.
