Technically Jamil would have to share this with Christopher Lobante, as they tag teamed to make an all around astounding play. Jamil had a ball hit over his head in the outfield that for all intents and purposes, should have been a home run. He played the ball perfectly, made a lazer throw to Chrisopher, his cut off man, who in turn gunned the ball to home to make the play and get the runner out by inches. Simply amazing!

What more can be said about Keri. She leads her team into battle every week. She is a seasoned pitcher and runs the game efficiently and with a smile. Although these are great qualities, there is one that isn't as obvious. Keri took a ball to her head last season and where most players would not attempt to play another game, Keri has gone on to pitch with confidence and doesn't back down from the plate. So next time you see this Meat Club player with a helmet on, give her five. Just not to her head please.

Team Meat Club dresses the part of a seasoned Underdog softball team...vintage maroon jerseys accompanied by an awesome logo on the front with names across the back. Classic, solid look...a team who believes looking good is half the battle on the softball field. Falling behind by 21 runs by the end of the 3rd inning, it appeared Meat Club's unity wouldn't be tranlating into scoring many runs for the night. Down, but not out, the bats game alive in the 5th with an amazing 9 run assault at the plate. Sweetbread's grand slam topped off a comeback that came up just short of victory. Outstanding game and awesome team spirit Meat Club!

Much to the delight of the fans and players, Chris took the opportunity in the 5th inning to propose marriage to his girlfriend Keri in the most charming of ways. His dog trotted out to the mound where Keri was pitching. Attached to his collar was a diamond engagement ring, which he detached, dropped on one knee, and asked for her hand in marriage. She accepted with tears in her eyes. The crowd went wild showing their joy for the couple. It was a beautiful moment, performed no less at an Underdog sporting event. Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Trulsen!

Marika could have earned this honor a few times throughout the season, but she is being honored with the Player of this Week title. Playing catcher for the most part, she has steadily learned the position and can handle her own. No more advice every time from Mr. Labonte, or other players for that matter. She now knows her stuff. Tag the runner, touch the plate, be ready for the rocket throw from the outfield. She has learned all these maneuvers and more. Next time you see Marika, give her a high five. Just bring a ladder with you, because she ain't short.
