Before the Softcore championship game, My Time had a relaxing pre-game hydration session while Bump, Set, Drink had to make a quick turnaround from their Semis game. To start the finals, everyone pledged allegiance to the flag, only to later figure out that it was actually just Alex's sweater.
The game started with a couple mis-serves, but with a 1-1 score both teams settled in to play. After an few initial back and forth points, My Time crept into a 10-4 lead with aggressive hitting at the net. Bump, Set, Drink has some great returns by Scott, Sharon, and a few others, but My Time's hitters kept finding the holes on the other side of the net. My Time ended up winning the first set 25-12. In game two, both teams continually put together smooth offensive attacks until the game was tied up at 12s. A battle back and forth at the net game Bump, Set, Drink the advantage at 16-13. However, My Time came back and tied the game up at 20-20, then 22-22 and some bystanders doubted the game would ever end! A couple of solid serves by My Time brought it to game point, but the end was avoided by a tipped ball over the net and the score was tied again at 24-24. At the second game point for My Time, a dance party on the sideline was the extra push they needed to clinch a victory at 26-24. The two teams played the third set out for fun, and My Time completed the Softcore Threepeat with a 3-0 victory!

The finals for Midcore Volleyball in Sellwood drew a huge crowd on Tuesday night. Most of them were actually watching their kids play basketball on the next court over, but the atmosphere was intense nonetheless. The game started with a long rally of at least 15 hits between Shots on Us and Swingers to show that neither team would go down without a fight. A couple rare mistakes by the Swingers gave Shots the early lead, and caused a timeout to be called at 9-3. However, the break didn't stop Shots' momentum, and a string of vicious serves by Leslie gave them the push to win the first set 25-17. In game two, the Swingers came out strong and pulled in front early. A couple of unanswered spikes and blocks by Brandon brought Shots back within one point. The Swingers had strong hitting power at the net, but their forward momentum gave Shots on Us the opportunity to sneak a few balls behind them at the back line. Shots on Us proceeded to pull out the second set by two points, which gave them victory for the night! The two teams played out the third game for fun, and Shots on Us ended up winning 3-0 to call themselves Midcore Champions!
