Opening night, starting on a new team in a new league, Melody didn't skip a beat. Helping her team win their match, she would stay and sub an another Indy team. Serving up aces, adding nice passing/sets while covering some sand. Nice matches!

Putting in OT Tonight
This weeks POW put in some overtime. Not only did his team go to extra point but helping out the other Indy team tonight, Troy stepped in and played 3 more games with another team to give them a 4th. From one game to the next, rain and MORE rain, Troy played with a smile on his face and killed it. Great work tonight Troy and both indy teams!

Team "Grandma"
While her team may have yelled grandma crossing as she made her way across the court at the end of each game, she is a pretty cool grandma for coming to her game prepared.

Bumpin Uglies had a double header tonight and team captain, Sheri, was not unprepared. Her beach chair was fully equipped with liquid provisions and she didn't spill a drop making her way across the court.

Not to mention, Sheri played 2 great games of Volleyball. She was solid from the serving line and had a few close saves for her team.The longer the team played the better they got.

Great job Sheri and team!

The Volleyball Junkies were ready this week. Everyone showed up with great energy, summer attire and a winning attitude. They were bound to have an amazing night. The Volleyball Junkies ended the night with catching Sherpa as he flew through the air before releasing him to the sand. Great catch team!

IgoNoUgo Goes All Out
Does having three all-out players equal four solid players? IgoNoUgo showed that they didn't even miss their absent teammates. They were matched up against last season's reigning champions, 4play, who put on a solid showing as usual. However, there was just something about IgoNoUgo this week. They picked up the first set with diving saves from Brandon, solid serves from Nicole, and big blocks at the net from Ben. The second and third sets were extremely close (23-21 and 24-22) but IgoNoUgo pulled them out with stellar playing and a great attitude. Congratulations, team of the week! Perhaps the Crossfit warm-up really helped?

Playoff Upset Upsets Troopers as Tom Pulls Out Shirtless Win
Some billed the game as David vs Goliath. Sandstorm Troopers hadn't lost a game all season and had a solid flow going into Tuesday night playoffs. Shirtless Tom came in a little apprehensive, but ready to play. After a long battle, Shirtless Tom picked up the first set 24-22, realizing they were in it to win it. Sandstorm Troopers came back strong to win the second set handily, led by their big hits and presence at the net. At 1-1, the Semis were anyone's to win! In the third set, Shirtless Tom pulled out all the stops, with diving saves and solid passes from Melissa, Kyle, Maren, and Christy. Sandstorm Troopers showcased their consistently high level of play, but Shirtless Tom brought the extra energy and pulled out the third set 21-14. Congrats Shirtless Tom and good luck in the finals!
