Matt delivered an amazing opening night. Not only did his team have a double hitter they crushed it all night. Such beautiful teamwork and athleticism. Matt was ready at the drop of a pin to go after the ball. He is a beast on the net. His almost floats in the air as he spikes the ball. Blocking is a whole other thing, Matt can be the wall needed. If you need a well rounded player, Matt’s your guy. He is motivated and fun to play with. Keep up the good work.
What a killer game, Allen has a wicked serve that’s near impossible to return. He brought in the first game win with a serve run! Allen is an all around menace on the court, it not just his serves you have to look out for, his spikes can be destructive. Outside of all the skills and athleticism he just an awesome teammate. You can tell the team has build a strong bond and trust each other to get the ball up. Allen is a guy you’d want on any team, for the skills and fun banter.
James killed it tonight! He can do it all and create mayhem for the other team. If set up just right he can deliver a soul crushing spike. Not only is he a great player but an even better teammate and opponent. All night long James can be seen having a blast bantering back and forth with his team and others. That is true sportsmanship and James has it in spades. Keep up the vibes!
This week instead of a player being highlighted a whole team is. Bump Set Snatch as a team are the players of the week. As a supervisor, I’ve had the joy of watching them grow from last season to this. For several players last season was their first time playing volleyball. Learning a new sport is nerve racking but they kept at it. The practice and experience that Bump Set Snatch has is showing. Not only did they win their first game last week. They have been closing the gap on other teams consistently. Bump Set Snatch is able to play a full volley. They are bump, set, spike and snatching that point. Not only have they grown as players but teammates as well. They are having fun the whole time and building trust with each other on the court. Can’t wait to see Bump Set Snatch continue to grow.
What a killer game by Megan. She delivered on the court tonight. During the second set, Megan had a sick serve streak. Which put her team ahead in points and claimed their second win with ease. Even when not in the serving position, Megan is still ready to crush it. Megan is a great team mate, encouraging her team while on the court and supporting them in the many positions she excels at. Keep it up!
Venessa is player of the week! She played great all night to help her team clench the W. The back row is where she shined, Venessa passed ball after ball, tips, serve receive and hits. Her hustle could not be matched, on a number of plays when covering the 2-person back row she ran across the court to make the save. I’m game 2 she had a graceful dive and roll back to standing. Way to play tonight Venessa!
Killer first game of playoffs by Chantha. Nothing was held back on the court. When it’s her serve she is targeting the open pockets of court getting all the points. Chantha is even more dangerous in the front row. Hers sets are hard to return and got all the power. Not to mention her setter skills are phenomenal, she does everything in her power to get to the second ball and set it so beautifully. Keep up the hard work Chantha!
Zach was in hustle town tonight. He was ready to do anything to get the ball up, and he was successful many times. Zach is a beast when on the net. He gets some crazy air when he jumps, allowing for a strong spike to occur. Zach isn’t always serious he knows how to have fun on the court with his teammates and opponents. Keep up the hard work Zach.
