With PC LOad Letters down by a few runs pretty much the entire game, they decided to mount a comeback in the final inning of the game. A 25-minute inning was the outcome of this impressive comeback to tie the game. With Jeremy chugging along the bases and bringing his team the tying run, they started off the season with some confidence in knowing they're never out of the game!

Who said the early bird gets the worm? Well, Zack didn't seem to listen to this advice as he came running to the field just as he was up to bat. After taking a moment to put on his shoes and try to tie them in a puddle of water in the dugout he stepped up to the plate. Stretching and warm-up...apparently not needed for this guy as he lined a RBI triple on the first pitch.

With the River Rats trailing through the first four innings, they launched their comeback in the 5th inning with a massive 7-run 5th followed by a 3-run walk-off final inning hit by Bijan to take the game at the last moment. If it weren't so late or already dark, we might have seen the River Rats carrying Bijan on their shoulders into the sunset...or to the bar.

Making catches and hittin bombs.
Armando may seem like a quiet, cool, calm and collected young gent, but the guy is a beast on the field. All over the place in left, Armando made some killer defensive plays. At the plate, he was equally as effective, hitting hard shots that brought in runs. After his trusty coach Josh gave him some alignment tips, he was hitting his line drives away from foul territory and straight at the opposition.
Keep kicking butt Armando. I know it's much easier when little Sophia isn't on your team (I hope she somehow sees this). :)

Call me, maybe?
Alex, better known as T-Rex on the diamond, is a pretty cool dude on Wednesdays (I can't speak to the rest of the week). Rex is always having a good time, and while he likes to call out the ump and strikes he can't see from the coaches box at third, we forgive him.
This coolness is evident right when he rolls up to the field blasting his them song, Call Me Maybe. In honor of his greatness, we have created a remix:

Paul Pace is a great addition to the Traffic Cones team hitting at very clutch times for them. Tonight he hit 2 very deep doubles! Did I mention he does it all with a big knee brace on?! Now that is something else, with a guy hobbling like him but can hit whats the worry? Its great to see his enthusiasm out there on the field doing everything that he can to help the team and that includes playing first base and running down some balls to get so very close outs. Great job Paul and keep it up!

Robert comes out to the field each week ready to play and ready to lead his team to victory! This week he pitched and played first base both very well, but what got my attention for Robert was the fact that he sat out a few innings giving his other players a chance to play in the field when he really didn't need to. Did I mention that this was playoffs? He is a team player and wins my sportsmanship award this week. Keep up the good work Robert!
