Fall Softcore/Midcore Co-Ed Volleyball at Southeast PDX Courts Thursdays

This week's Player of the Week goes to Katie Hilleson from Kiss My Ace! Katie took on a big challenge tonight in playing with an unknown Midcore team and she did awesome.

As the start of play approached and there were not many extra players to be found, Katie agreed to help out another team. She was a little unsure but said "OK I'll step it up!" and with a smile and a handshake she met her temporary teammates. This was the game of the night. They went one and one in the first two games and when the third came time I tried to call it on time. The teams said "but we're tied! It's only 21-21" I agreed to let them play it out, but after more time went by we had to call it and we were still at 26-26.

Thank you Katie for being awesome and playing out a tough game, you rock!

This weeks player of the week goes to Elsa Peterson of Spiked Punch, or, as I like to call her, Miss Enthusiastic. Elsa came on to the court excited and ready to play, helping lead her team in a close victory in game one, and a close, nail biting loss in game two. Even as her team started to trail in game three, Elsa never lost her spunk. Did she just start a high-five wave coming off the court to her teammates and the adoring spectators? Yes. Yes she did.

Elsa, keep up the great work, and congratulations of being player of the week!

This weeks player of the week goes to Jennee Edwards of The Screamin' MeMe's. Jennee helped her team to victory this week by showing some true determination on the court by going after every ball, no matter what obstacle was in her way. (I'm looking at you, pole.) You can better believe that nothing is going to stop this girl from tasting sweet victory. So next time you think about getting in her way, just remember Jennee Edwards does not give a care. She just gets right on up and keeps playing, like a true champ. Keep up the great work Jennee, and congratulations on being this weeks player of the week!

This weeks player of the week goes to Phoebe Adams of JTT. This weeks' games were important, as they dictated the Soft-core volleyball CHAMPS of 2012, and let me tell you, nobody showed more heart than my girl Phoebe.

Phoebe's team was outnumbered by 1 this week. But with a player like Phoebe, she made that slight disadvantage completely irrelevant. She went after every single ball no matter what the cost. By the end of the night I'm sure her knee pads were begging for a break. Phoebe, great job being aggressive and a team leader. Keep up the great work, and congratulations on being this weeks player of the week.
