Chris from the Homeless Cougars ended up playing a double header tonight. He showed up just in time to step in and save the day for IgoNoUgo since they were short a player. Chris was full of energy in both games, showing style with his saves, having amazing serves and throwing in a few spikes. Great games Chris!

Ben from IgoNoUgo showed up tonight to play his first and last game of the season. The first couple plays of the game were a bit of a miss, that was just his warm up. Through out the rest of the game he ran after the ball, dropped low for saves, and stood tall for blocks helping his team win all three sets. Good catch Ben! We'll miss the Nordic Thunder.

Always Happy to Be at V-Ball
Even when the gym is cold and it is dark by the time we arrive to play, the captain of Shaggin Balls, Tracy always comes in ready to lead his team and play a great game of Volleyball. This week, in a close one vs. IgoNoUGo, Tracy and team played their hearts out. A tied game went to 3 games, that didn't go Shaggin Balls way but Tracey finished the night strong and lead his team to the Sponser Bar. Sometimes it's hard to get out of bed. Those days are even harder when your back hurts. Not only did Mike make it out of bed, but he made it through the day and still managed to bring the spirit to the game, cheering loud and often from the bleachers as his team powered through his absence and on to a solid victory. Blocking the Boys
This weeks player of the week goes to Rachel Meyer. And I think Brad from Shaggin Balls would agree, that he doesn't get blocked often, but Rachel made a huge block this week that had the whole gym handing out high fives. It wasn't only Rachels net play, she also served her team back into the 3rd game with 7 straight serves. She worked hard and played smart this week. The Cougs didn't come out with the win but Rachel kept her team close. Way to go Rachel, bring that all back next week when the playoffs begin!

Leading the Team to Victory
The entire Shots on Us team had a great night tonight. They worked hard as they had a double header to advance to the Finals for the Fernwood Midcore Championship.

Leslie was a team leader and a huge impact on her team tonight. She talked it up on the court a played a great role setting tonight. After game 1 when they would have taken a little rest, Leslie kept the team warm and kept them practicing up to play the very strong team, Kamikazees. Her extra work and the entire teams strong play took down the Kamikazees in two games.

Great work Leslie and Shots On Us....GOOD LUCK IN THE FINALS!
