It would only seem fitting that 3 of the longest standing Underdog teams would play in the Semi's and Finals for the Fernwood Tuesday Midcore Championship. Shots on Us played a commanding semifinal game against Shaggin Balls to earn their way into the Championship against The Kamikazies.
Shots on Us came into the championship game pumped up and ready to go. Their tired legs fought off the fresh Kamikazies in a 26-24 game 1! The Kamikazies were pushing to make a come back late but team captain Leslie kept the team spirit high and they held onto game 1! Game two was full of hits from both sides. Brandon commanded Shots to an early lead and Mike brought his team back with some big swings. It was eventually the Kamikazies who took another 26-24 win.
The rubber match however, was all Kamikazies. They were warmed up and ready to win gold and that they did. The Fernwood Four meant business and took home a 25-13 win to become the final Fernwood Era champions. Congrats to the Kamikazies on a well deserved championship! See you at Tubman!
