Double Fireball started the evening off with an intense match against team Bag O' Digs winning 2-1. Then went on in the third hour to win 2-0 against team Bump Up the Jam! The whole team worked hard with lots of hustle to win the championship. They also had a lot of fun along the way with jumping high fives :) Tony had some amazing saves and Derek started the second match off with six great serves in a row. Vanessa never let the ball drop while Sarah kept giving perfect soft sets. Kevin had a lot of power behind his spikes and Dave had quick reactions with a one arm pass from off of the ceiling. Great work team Double Fireball!!
Tony Frey has been a consistently all around great player all season! He has very nice sets :) Tony also has very good serves! He's a well rounded volleyball player. Awesome job Tony!!
The player of the week is Kevin Tracy! No matter where the set was placed he spiked 'em down! Kevin's serves were low and fast :) He had good saves, sets, and serve receive passes! Saw a nice, well placed tip and a lot of hustle! Great job Kevin!!
Sarah McElroy played three great games :) She has quite the arm on her and had some nice hits! Also Sarah had an awesome back row attack that caught the other team by surprise! It was a fun match to watch :) Great job Sarah!!
Megan Peterkin is an awesome volleyball player :) She had beautiful passes, nice hits, and some great saves. What was most impressive was Megan's amazing serves! In one game she had 9 serves in a row and quite a number of her serves were aces! Great job Megan!!
