The Mother Chukars started in '08' Summer Westside Gabriel Park w/ a big win 23-12 over the Little Giants. To big it seems for our own good. We were asked to retire with a 1-0-0 record until the Winter season where the competition would be more balanced.
The Chukars entered the '08' Red Rubber Showdown (Outlaw Division) with the knowledge of Seattle's most dominate Underdog team Supercalifornia Pants coming down to add another championship to there impressive resume. The Chukars went 2-0 in pool play, then losing there Capt. to his grandma's funeral brought with it a 1-2 loss against the Superpants. Exiting pool play 2-1 and with the return of the Capt. The team rallied in tournament play to advenge there only loss of the day, with a 3-0 victory over the Supercalifornia Pants in the finals to keep the championship in Portland.
The '09' Winter league came and the Mother Chukars didn't miss a beat with a perfect 9-0-0 season to take the inaugural Winter Underdog league.
In the 2010 Winter league the Chukars came in with a big target on there back. The rest of the teams in the league were looking to dethrone the Champs and make a name for themselfs. Both Big Balls & We Got the Runs did just that both taking a win from the Chukars giving us a 6-2-1 record and a third place finish.
The 2011 Winter league was suppose to be our redemption year. Going undefeated in the regular season with the train back on the tracks the Chukars were rolling until the semifinals and a rematch against Bad Company. In the last inning down by one run with two outs the Chukars loaded the bases for the Capt. Toe-Knee Lusk to be the hero or the goat. A diving catch from Bad Company's outfielder Ryan Cunningham saves a grand slam and gives Bad Company a trip to the finals. Knocking out the Chukars from another undefeated season and another league title. The Mother Chukars finished 7-1-0 with a 2nd consecutive third place Winter League finish.
