The self proclaimed “thunder buddies” were playing against each other in the Champ game. They first met on a thundering day early in the season. With a season full of rain it old made sense the final game came with a downpour or two. In this final game, Team on Three waffled during the first set after just playing a semifinal game. However in set two they reassessed and took the win with well placed balls. It was down to the wire in set three. They communicated, placed some strategic knuckle balls and set the ball up for some hard kills. Team on Three claimed victory. Way to keep fighting tonight!
Alex was willing to play for the opposing team who was short players, preventing them from forfeiting the set. He won against his team, and when the players on the opposing team showed up, he switched back and wound up winning with his team on three. His flexibility allowed three sets to be played, and he and his team wound up taking the W!
