Congratulations to this week's Player of the Week Melanie G from Indy-Won -Indy #1! Mel G, popularly known as the 6th Spice Girl - Butt Kicking Spice - came ready to crush it at Oregon Park on Monday with her soul stealing serves and intimidating confidence. In defense of her excellent sportsmanship, Mel G was heard saying she must "give credit where credit is due" when a ball fell inches from her hands. This small defeat did not get put the Spice Girl down as she hustled to return balls and gave her opponents a run for their money with her monster serves. Way to go Melanie G!
With great power comes great responsibility. Because of these great words team Indy_Won nominated the only possible player that can hold that responsibility.
Liz Eslinger stepped up and became the captain of the team for many different reasons. Aside from the ability to handle that power, she took her team by the horns and lead them by example. She was sliding all over the place digging balls and cheering everyone on.
Despite their loss, Liz remained positive with great words of inspiration like "Here we go team......We got this!"
To top it all off, she showed her kindness and sportsmanship with a big smile and congratulating everyone. If Liz were a superhero, she would be The Flying Aviator....always swooping in for a good time. Congratulations Liz, you are this weeks Player of the week and a great superhero!
