Spring Co-ed Volleyball in Southeast PDX Tuesday

A long time team of Underdog's NE location The Kamikazes moved south for the Spring for a change up in teams. 6 weeks of new faces didn't stop them for their ultimate goal....Wristbands!

The night started off against Ball Me Maybe who were defending their title from last season! It was a close match but the Kamikazes got them in 2 games. And it was onto the championship against www.volleyball-b*tches.net, who had to take down the tough Young and the Rest of Us in a close 3 game match.

The down time between matches didn't slow down the Kamikazies as they got right back into the swing of things...big swings at that. High flying Mike sent some rockets over the net. The B*tches defended well but game 1 went to the Kamikazies was a close 26-24 victory. The B*tches have been around Underdog for a while and they knew they were going to have to come out hard in the second game and that they did. Brothers Russ and Jimmy got some great double blocks and Shannon had a phenomenal night in the back row, but the Kamikazies wanted it just an inch more and that’s all they won game two by with a final score of 25-23. The Kamikazies were crowned the champions of the Spring.

Great season to both teams. It was a hard fought match. Maybe the Volleyball-B*tches.net will have to head north in a future season and take a championship away from the home team up there….
