Player of the week was defined this week by hard work and enthusiasim. Linda O from Sets on the Beach came ready to win this week. In their double header week, Sets on the Beach had two tough games. Linda helped her team get a game with on the Homeless Cougars and a Match win on Just the Tip. Her "chest of steel" kept her strong and she passed from hard hits that came to the back row all night all. Linda never gave up and encouraged her team to keep up the good work. Alll of the Sets on the Beach players took a big part in their games tonight. Great work Linda and all of SOTB!!
This week's Harriet Tubman Thursday Night Volleyball Player of the Week goes to MIKE BARTKO for his outstanding play in an amazing showcase of talent and skill! Although SOTB lost 2 out of 3 very close sets, Mike kept his team ignited with fiery effort diving for saves, attacking service and delivering key aces. But the highlight of his performance was his work at the net. Mike's not the tallest guy on the floor, but he can match blocks with any opponent and was absolutely unbelievable in his consistency and power to win rallies. Your energy was contagious and definitely set the tone for the night - kudos to you, Mike!
