Spike Club South Secures Softcore Championship

Spike Club South beat the heat on Thursday at Eastmoreland Courts by cool wins in the semifinals and finals to be our Softcore Summer Champs! Led by Collier on court and Stacey off-court, SCS battled hard for a 2-0 win vs. Joy of Sets in the semifinal. SCS played so tough with Brian and Liz making some incredible saves and Collier and Heather spectacular at net. On to the finals vs. HALM Sand Storm and this was a bit harder to secure as after winning the first set, SCS faltered to drop the second. After a pep talk, they regrouped and claim the USL Champ wristbands and worked hard to ensure the third game victory. Kudos to HALM Sand Storm for putting up a tough match with only three players and a big congrats to Collier, Stacey, Heather, Liz and Brian of Spike Club South for the 2016 Eastmoreland Softcore Championship!

  How I Set Your Mother

It's A 4-Peat For How I Set Your Mother

It's an incredible accomplishment for a team to repeat a championship not only once, twice, and maybe three times. But four???? That's exactly what How I Set Your Mother did on Thursday night at Eastmoreland Courts in the Midcore championships. Certainly a rare and unusual occurrence, but HISYM didn't think so, and were determined to make a fourth championship theirs. Ben, Megan, Aubrey and Jeff have played together for so long and have obviously found the recipe for success. This is a team who has only lost two sets total in four years! One of those sets came on Thursday in the semifinal match vs, Anonymous Sets, who gave HISYM a real run for their money by not only close scores, but taking the first set 21-17 and a very close loss in the second set, 22-20. HISYM were undaunted and coached each other through a rigorous third set with some unbelievable play by all of them, but especially Jeff, who was able to land kills right on the line for fair balls. HISYM took a brief intermission before going into the finals vs. Kinky Sets. Some great volleys ensued between the two teams including some really hard work brought by Scott from Kinky Sets. Ultimately, HISYM came out the victors winning 2-0. In anticipation of the championship, HISYM's Ben even brought his last three years of wristbands to wear while he added the 2016 version. Great inspiration, and way to 4-Peat HISYM - see ya on the sand in 2017!!

NOTE: These rankings have been manually adjusted to reflect external criteria.
How are Standings Calculated?
Standings shown do not automatically adjust for tiebreakers. Tiebreakers may be adjusted manually prior to playoffs with head-to-head followed by runs/points allowed (or sets lost for Volleyball leagues) as the top 2 criteria. Forfeits may be calculated differently as stated below.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
