Tonight was full of enthusiasm, celebration and tough volleyball. The crowds came out tonight to watch the semi-final showdown. The semi-finals were a battle to the finish taking both matches to the 3 games. All teams played tough, but two came out on top!
RiDIGulous (rDIG) and Joe Six Pack (6Pack) moved on to the Championships, but they were both sweating and had to work hard to get there. The Championship game would come down to who had the energy to duke it out for another hour. Both teams came into this season sniffing for a championship. 6Pack did some reorganizing of their team this season and felt they were ready to be contenders and rDIG was new to the league but intrigued by their competition and chance to be number 1. On a side note both teams also had sweet team shirts, who knows maybe this gave them the edge to get to the Championship round.
In game 1 rDIG came out to an early 11-3 lead with the help of Summer's serving. 6Pack took a TO to re-group and it seemed to help. The serving streak ended but Bret & Jason continued to rip the ball making it tough for 6Pack to respond. Game 1 went to rDIG. Game 2 got off to a back and forth start. There were body's skidding after balls and great talk. 6Pack had some great blocks and were returning hard digs. They were fighting for game 2, but rDIG prevailed! Everyone was tuckered but excited to have played great volleyball, great job everyone!!!!
