Spring Co-ed Kickball Sunday Afternoons at Unthank Park

During a tightly contested game throughout, Booze on First? and Clockwork Orange entered the 7th inning in a 5-5 tie. Looking like the game might end that way Tom came up to the plate with the bases loaded. After studying the pitcher and field conditions Tom hunkered down into the batters box and waited for his pitch. He took his approach and with perfect form he let 'er rip. Whatcha know - GRAND SLAMAROO and the crowd went wild!

At a beautiful Sunday afternoon on the temporary grass field at Unthank park, Clockwork Orange's defense held a feisty Feet of Fury to just one run. Katy York was impressive on the mound with numerous line drive catches along with some great bunt singles to seal the victory.

Can you catch her? Can you tag her? Can you get her out? Sarah Elze helped lead Blue Balls to another win and lots of smiles with her brazen and daring baserunning. Were still not sure what she was doing exactly, but it didn't matter as Blue Balls cruised to a 11-2 victor over a tenacious and fun Red Balls of Fury to close out another awesome Sunday of kickball at Unthank Field. Way to go Sarah!

Oh, the spirit of Underdog lies with such teams as Regulators. The entire team showed up for Sunday Kickball decked out in Hawaiian luau gear. Lei's, grass skirts, and cocoanut bikini tops were proudly worn by men and women, alike. Though they lost in the first playoff round against Orange-a-tang, know that their shinanigans will be missed for the finals. Can't wait until the next season we see you, Regulators! You've made Sundays at Unthank afternoon a great time to be an Underdog.
