Balls of Fury!, NEP Kickin It, Team Angst, Thee Angry Dragons
POTW: Tyler Hood
Balls N Dolls
The Green Man returns!!! Tyler played in a green man suit the entire game, all the while providing stellar defense to go along with comedic relief. Green Man Suit....Timeless!
Balls N Dolls, Sparkle Motion, The Bloopers, The Eradicators
POTW: Kyra Hazilla
Team Angst
Kyra, or affectionately known as "Shera Princess of Power", by her teammates had a mountain of pep in her step Thursday night. She was a one person chearing squad, providing encouragement, compliments, and congratulations for not only her team, but the other team and even the referee. Kyra encompasses what Underdog athletics are all about.
Balls of Fury!, The Bloopers, The Eradicators, Thee Angry Dragons
POTW: Lizzy Hatten
NEP Kickin It
Lizzy sacrificed mind and body for the good of the team this week. She was a one woman wrecking crew; diving for grounders and pouncing off the mound to catch pop flies. Quite a spectacular show of awesomeness for Lizzy. Well done.
Balls N Dolls, NEP Kickin It, Sparkle Motion, Team Angst
POTW: Mary Sillik
The Bloopers
Mary was a defensive stalwart, really locking down in the field. No ball was un-catchable, no runner too fast for this defensive dynamo! Just a really tremendous performance for this Underdoger.
Theresa was a defensive dynamo this week. Any kick that went her way was a sure-fire out, including what appeared to be a bonafide homerun....nope....there went Theresa, tracking down the deep fly ball like a Peregrine Falcon dive bombing a helpless sparrow - the helpless sparrow being the ball of course. Just a fantastic game.
Balls N Dolls, Balls of Fury!, Team Angst, The Eradicators
POTW: Andrew Wall
The Bloopers
The score was tied in the bottom of the 6th. The Bloopers had a runner on first and needed a big kick. Up to the plate stepped Andrew Wall, and with one mighty kick, the Bloopers were up by 2 runs....and boy did they need those two runs, as they were the deciding factor in a close knit, hotly contested kickball game. Great play to put your team in position to win.
NEP Kickin It, Sparkle Motion, The Bloopers, Thee Angry Dragons
POTW: Jake Bennett
Balls of Fury!
Loren displayed masterful fielding in leading her team to a hard fought defensive victory. Sans Loren, the outcome for Balls of Fury may not have been so sweet. Her play at second base certainly was a difference maker. Great job Loren!
Balls N Dolls, Balls of Fury!, NEP Kickin It, The Eradicators
POTW: Mike Benkoski
Team Angst
Mike Benkoski had never pitched a kickball game before last night, but he proved himself more than up to the task. He entertained both teams with his unpredictable approach, experimenting with fancy wind-ups, between the legs rolls, and even a behind-the-back pitch. He also kicked a home run during Team Angst's valiant comeback attempt in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Balls of Fury!, NEP Kickin It, Team Angst, The Bloopers, Thee Angry Dragons
POTW: Adam Dietrich
The Eradicators
Adam was a one man wrecking crew tonight. In the wet conditions, his handling of balls as the catcher was quite impressive. Adam pounced from behind the plate like a crazy half man, half panther to track down grounders and provde superior defense. Offensively, he was in the zone, nearly sparking a monumental comeback for the Eradicators. Great job!
Balls of Fury!, The Bloopers, The Eradicators, Thee Angry Dragons
POTW: Nate Oda
Balls N Dolls
Nate's play behind the plate was nothing short of spectacular. In a close knit, tight ball game, Nate's ability to navigate the wet conditions proved highly valuable. Way to go Nate, just an awesome performance out there!
Balls N Dolls, NEP Kickin It, Sparkle Motion, Team Angst
POTW: Mike Smith
Thee Angry Dragons
Mike showed the form of a World Cup goalie, not letting anything past him and catching rocket shots up the middle with no problem. Anything headed his was was a sure fire out with his soft bear paw hands and quick feet. Absolutely superb defense.
In his last game before retirement, Aaron showed the rest of his team why he will be sorely missed. Aaron was a defensive stalwart at shortstop not letting anything past him. He made one spectacular catch after another helping his team win the championship. Great game, great season, and good luck in your retirement.
